Advanced Materials Laboratory 

At Montazami Group we are interested in exploring, understanding, and controlling the properties and functionality of soft materials. More specifically, our research efforts are focused on understanding mechanics of soft thin-film structures, ionic polymers and ionic electroactive organic materials, polymer-metal composites, and manufacturing of soft organic electronic devices. We explore phase-change polymers, advanced additive manufacturing of functional hydrogels, conjugated polymers, and functional polymeric systems. We are also interested in Green and Sustainable Chemistry and are actively studying bioplastic and biocomposites.
